Season 1 is 8 episodes, 30 minutes each, centering on a Chicago sandwich deli. It is strong drama that doesn&rsquo;t rely on gimicks to hold your attention. There are no aliens; no building are knocked to the ground; there are no cliff hangers; there is no star power. There was no one aspect of the show that stood out. The ending is fine but does use a lazy gimick.
